Product Description
Signature Blend
Meet the Sufi Woollen and Jute Dhurrie — a rare, soulful union of two of nature's finest fibres. Soft, warm wool meets the grounded earthiness of natural jute in this one-of-a-kind flat-weave rug, inspired by the poetry, geometry, and spiritual artistry of Sufi tradition.
"Two fibres, one soul — the warmth of wool above, the strength of jute beneath. A dhurrie that carries the quiet depth of a Sufi verse."
The result is a dhurrie that looks luxurious, feels incredibly comfortable underfoot, and carries the deep, rich colour palette of Sufi-inspired art — indigo, saffron, earthy beige, and violet — all woven together with extraordinary precision on a traditional handloom.

The Fibre Blend
This dhurrie gets the best of both worlds — the softness of wool and the durability of jute working together in every thread.
Wool
Adds warmth, softness, and a subtle sheen. Wool naturally resists dirt, regulates temperature, and gives the rug its rich colour depth and cosy feel underfoot.
Jute
Provides the structural backbone — strong, breathable, and 100% biodegradable. Jute grounds the rug with its earthy, natural texture and keeps the weave tight and durable.
Design Story
Sufism — the mystical heart of Islam — has long been a source of profound artistic expression across South Asia. Its architecture, music, poetry, and textile arts all share a common thread: the search for beauty as a path to the divine. The geometric patterns of Sufi art — radiating stars, interlocking circles, infinite repeating forms — reflect the belief that mathematical order and spiritual truth are one and the same.
Our weavers drew from this tradition to create a design language that feels both ancient and timeless. The mandala-like repeat patterns, the star-form borders, the interplay of deep violet and warm gold — all echo the visual vocabulary of Sufi dargahs, qawwali stages, and the illuminated manuscripts of medieval South Asia.
The blend of wool and jute is itself a metaphor — two opposites, the soft and the sturdy, the warm and the earthy, woven together into something that is greater than either alone.
Each rug is woven on a traditional handloom by artisans who have carried this craft through generations. Minor variations in colour and weave are not imperfections — they are the breath of the maker, present in every knot and thread.

Care Instructions
Vacuum gently
Use low suction, no beater bar. Vacuum along the pile direction. For wool sections, gentle is key — harsh suction can pull wool fibres loose over time.
Blot spills immediately
Blot with a clean dry cloth — never rub. Wool absorbs liquid fast; quick action prevents deep staining. Work from the outer edge inward.
Spot clean with wool-safe soap
Use a wool-safe or pH-neutral detergent only. Apply with a damp cloth, blot gently. Never use harsh chemicals, bleach, or enzyme-based cleaners on wool.
No machine washing
Never machine wash, tumble dry, or steam clean. Machine agitation causes wool fibres to felt and shrink, permanently damaging the texture and weave.
Dry flat in shade
Lay flat in a well-ventilated shaded area to dry. Direct sunlight fades both wool dyes and natural jute tones over time — always shade-dry.
????
Rotate every 2–3 months
Rotate regularly for even wear distribution, especially in high-traffic areas. This preserves both the wool pile and the jute base structure.
Store properly
If storing, roll (don't fold) around a tube, wrap in breathable cotton cloth, and keep in a dry, ventilated space. Avoid plastic — wool needs to breathe.
Wool-specific tip — natural shedding of wool fibres is normal in the first few weeks of use. This settles down with regular gentle vacuuming and does not affect the quality or longevity of your rug.
