The Trickle Wool & Silk Rug takes its name from the way its design moves — like water finding its path, slowly and with quiet intention. Flowing lines and gentle organic shapes run across the surface of the rug, creating a pattern that feels both natural and carefully composed. It is a rug that brings movement into a room without disrupting it.

Handcrafted using a blend of premium wool and natural silk, the Trickle rug offers the best of both materials. The wool gives the rug its warmth, body, and durability. The silk catches the light along the flowing lines of the pattern — creating a subtle shimmer that shifts as you move around the piece. Together, they produce a surface that is as pleasing to look at as it is to walk on.

Design Story

The word "trickle" describes something small but persistent — a thin stream of water that carves its way through stone over time, leaving a trace that is both delicate and definitive. That is the spirit behind this rug's design.

The fluid, curving lines of the Trickle pattern were drawn by hand before being translated onto the loom. Our artisans worked to preserve the softness and irregularity of those original lines — resisting the urge to make them perfectly symmetrical or mechanically precise. The slight variations you see in the pattern are intentional. They are what make the rug feel alive rather than printed.

The addition of silk along the flowing motifs was a deliberate design choice — silk naturally highlights the lines it follows, giving the trickle pattern a gentle luminosity that makes the movement in the design visible even from across the room. Care Instructions

Vacuum gently on low suction only — no beater bar. Silk fibres are delicate and will fray under mechanical agitation. Vacuum in the direction of the pile once a week at most.
Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry, white cloth. Never use coloured cloths on silk. Do not rub under any circumstances — always blot.
Use cold water only for spot cleaning. Never apply warm or hot water — silk is permanently damaged by heat. Avoid all alkaline detergents.
Do not machine wash, soak, steam, or tumble dry. Excess moisture will distort the wool pile and permanently strip the silk of its sheen.
Protect from direct sunlight — both silk and wool are sensitive to UV fading. Rotate 180° every 3 months to ensure even light exposure across the pattern.
Professional cleaning only for deep cleaning — use a specialist experienced with wool and silk mixed-pile rugs. Recommended every 12–18 months.
Store rolled with pile inward, wrapped in breathable cotton cloth. Never fold. Keep in a cool, dark, dry space away from moisture and pests.
