Care Instructions

• Vacuum regularly on low suction without the beater bar. Always go in the direction of the pile — against it can lift and loosen the knotted fibres over time.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry, white cloth. Use white cloth only — coloured cloths risk transferring dye onto the blue pile. Never rub, always blot.
• Spot clean using a wool-safe detergent diluted in cold water. Test on a small hidden area first. Rinse thoroughly — detergent residue attracts dirt.
• Do not machine wash, soak, steam, or tumble dry. Wool and the latex backing are both vulnerable to excess moisture and heat.
• Protect from prolonged direct sunlight — deep-dyed colours, including sapphire blue, can fade unevenly with sustained UV exposure. Rotate 180° every 3 months.
• Professional deep cleaning recommended every 12–18 months by a specialist experienced with handmade wool rugs.
• Use a non-slip rug pad underneath on hard floors for safety and to extend the life of the backing.
• Store rolled with pile inward, in breathable cotton cloth, in a cool, dry, ventilated space. Never fold — folding creates permanent crease lines in the pile.
